I have always wanted to live close to my horses and after I had been
duly registered in HsinHsu County for the required two years, I applied
for a house building permit. Here is a view towards the northeast part

Before the construction was started, the building
company arranged a ceremony to appease the land gods and ask for

| The next day the land survey and marking started. We found that a
few of the trees were too close to where work was planned and they had

Finally, on May 1st the excavation started. 2012-05-01 |

As soon as we were a little over 1 meter down, water started to seep in.

| Finally, as sunset approached, the excavation was finished and now
we waited for the concrete trucks. A thin layer of concrete was to be
laid at the bottom of the pit, to serve as a worksurface for the rebar

Late at night the concrete had been poured for the 2 inch thick work

The surface was now ready for the rebar. Because Taiwan is in an earth
quake zone, the rebar work is very important and my father often visited
to inspect the quality of the tieing.

The compartments in the slab have been filled, concrete has been laid on
